We have an amazing heritage, but yesterday is behind us. The question becomes, “How will God’s people respond today?” Will we give everything we are and have to invest in the lost, the broken? Will we follow the lead of our spiritual ancestors? Or are we indifferent to the plight of those around us, unable or unwilling to do the work necessary to reach those who need the gospel more than anything?
We can’t be a complacent church. A church that is satisfied with the status quo. We aim to move beyond what is familiar and comfortable, for the sake of those who need to know Jesus.
How? What does God have in store for The Bridge? Only God really knows. But we’ve been handed the baton. We’re not doing anything new.
New to The Bridge?
Hoist The Sail is our two-year generosity initiative that has already deepened our faith and expanded our impact in the community and around the world. We officially started this journey in April, but there were many months of teaching, group discussions, and Vision Nights that led us to the beginning of Hoist The Sail.
If you're new to The Bridge, we'd love for you to jump in and commit to this discipleship journey with us. Our primary goal is for 100% engagement from those that call The Bridge home. Let's be all in, together!

Our goal is that every person who calls The Bridge home would declare that Jesus is before all things in their lives. That we would give Him our first and best. That we would trust Him wherever He takes us. That 100% of us as a church family would continue deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ in three ways:

As we Hoist The Sail, putting God before all things in our lives, we believe He has identified three areas to focus our kingdom impact. We are trusting Him to move through each of us at The Bridge to raise $20 million over the next two years to accomplish the vision He has given us.

LETTER FROM SCOTT
What a season we had last Spring! We hoisted the sail to allow the Spirit of God to blow us where and how far He wants us to go.
We prayed, we fasted, and we memorized and personalized Romans 11:36, pondering on it daily for months. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever!”
We are now approaching the midpoint of this two-year discipleship and generosity initiative.
This discipleship journey has challenged us to surrender ourselves to the Lord, bringing to Him our first and best… because everything we are and have comes from Him and is for Him (Romans 11:36). He deserves our everything!
Our primary goal was 100% engagement, because this church is all of our responsibility. Over 2,000 people, which includes adults, students, and kids, made commitments. Plus, we were blown away with over 500 commitments from new givers.
Our secondary goal was $20 million committed over 2 years, to fund our current ministries, expand into new communities, radically increase our local and global outreach, and position ourselves for future evangelistic growth.
What has happened since is nothing short of amazing. By God’s grace, we are well on our way to achieving our goal! In fact, because of our overall church growth, we are increasing our goal to $22 million.
Since Hoist the Sail launched, hundreds more have been transformed by Jesus, including over 260 baptisms. Our small groups have swelled, divided, and multiplied. Student Ministry and Bridge Kids are flourishing. Camp is setting records. Outreach has grown. God is doing a mighty work amongst us!
I hope this Midpoint is an encouragement to you who launched with us. And to those who are new to The Bridge, we invite you, “Come on board!”
We're asking you to join us on a spiritual journey with God, to take the largest step of generosity you've ever taken, as we move together to take the largest step of faith we've ever taken.
This season will be an incredible time as a church. We will pray, give, engage, and lead. Together we will Hoist The Sail and God will blow us where He wills.
